Aloha people!

Welcome to my blog. My name is Yara Al Afandi I’m from Palestine. I live in Dheisha Refugee Camp and I’m a student at Al Quds Bard Honors  College. Majoring in Biology and minoring in Media, if you think that’s weird wait until you meet me! Reading is my oxygen and books run in my blood. Screw beautiful, if you want to appease me, compliment my brain!

This blog is all about books! yaaay. Anything you might need, a book club, links to where you can find and download free books, book critics (mostly written by me) and some serious discussion on reading. When is the best time to read, how to stay focus and what are the latest best sellers. Further more, we will discuss reading and the number of readers in Palestine, and how to increase that number and get people to read. Because reading is awesome. As my favorite quote on reading says ”

“Whenever you read a good book, somewhere in the world a door opens to allow in more light”

–Vera Nazarian

So, just comment, follow and enjoy my blog.

  1. Hello Yara, this is Karen at Booker Talk blog site. Thanks for following me. I have an interest in reading literature from countries outside my direct experience so will be following you also through my feedreader.

  2. Yara,
I found your blog by coincidence. But I’m glad I did. You have a really interesting blog with a sense of humor. But will you elaborate more on Syrian Literature and the Syrian regime?
